π Class Policies
π Attendance Requirements
Minimum 70% Attendance Required to pass the course
This isn't just a ruleβwe want to see you and code together! Your presence matters for group learning, collaboration, and making the most of your vocational education.
- Regular attendance builds professional habits
- You'll miss key concepts and peer collaboration if absent
- Team dynamics and group projects depend on your participation
β±οΈ Lateness & Early Departures
Lateness is okay if there's a valid reason
We understand life happens. Just keep us in the loop:
- Text Tim to let him know if you'll be late
- Provide a reason (traffic, personal issue, etc.)
- Aim to catch up on missed content
Early Departures
If you need to leave early, get approval from the trainer first. Only trainers can dismiss class early.

π‘ Pro Tips for Success
- Arrive on time: Missing the first 10 minutes means missing typing test practice and attendance
- Stay engaged: Typing test is not just a warm-up; it builds professional speed for real-world work
- Use breaks strategically: Don't skip breaks or work through them; your brain needs rest to absorb information
- Lunch is sacred: Step away from code during lunch. You'll come back refreshed and creative
- Ask questions: If you don't understand something, ask immediately. Don't let confusion build
- Collaborate: Pair programming and peer learning is encouraged. You learn better together
- Document your code: Comments help you remember your logic and help others understand your work
- Keep your workspace clean: Leave the classroom as you'd like to find it for the next class
- If you'll be late or absent: Text Tim or your trainer for the day at 0414 265 050 before class starts
- Communication: No posting - questions go to group chat (be constructive)
